Coordinating Meeting on the Launch of the “Taking Care of Myself” Spaces in Regions

On March 14, the USAID PHS R&R team conducted a coordinating meeting on the launch of the “Taking Care of Myself” regional spaces in Kyiv.

The participants of the event included representatives of five USAID PHS R&R focus communities and the Light of Hope Charitable Organization, where psychosocial spaces will be opened soon. These spaces will soon operate in the territorial communities of Fastiv (Kyiv region), Ovruch (Zhytomyr region), Lysets (Ivano-Frankivsk region), Bakhmach (Chernihiv region), as well as at Chernivtsi National University named after Iurii Fedkovych and Bukovinian State Medical University (Chernivtsi region), and the Light of Hope Charitable Organization (Poltava region).

Representatives of the regional teams who initiated the opening of the spaces discussed their workflow processes, worked on communication enhancement strategies and the establishment of multisector partnerships and client referral systems, and shared their findings.

Our project partners, The Family Circle Center for Health and Development, the Integration Center of Psychological Health and Trauma Therapy, and the Words Help NGO assisted our participants in sharpening their skills in providing psychosocial support.

We hope that this cooperation becomes an example for other institutions and communities that also aim to deliver professional psychosocial support for its residents.
