In Kyiv, a meeting of the project team «Public Health System Recovery and Resilience Activity» took place

This week, the USAID project team «Public Health System Recovery and Resilience Activity» summed up the first results of its activities and discussed future plans at a two-day meeting in Kyiv.

In particular, they planned further steps to expand access to mental health services and implement psychosocial support programs – this project component, in collaboration with international and national partners, is overseen by the European Institute of Public Health Policy.

In the near future, introductory seminars and meetings with community representatives will take place in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Odesa, Ternopil, Chernivtsi, and Ivano-Frankivsk. At the seminars, participants will learn about and try out practical scientifically grounded tools for preventing and managing stress, for enhancing resilience and self-awareness, developing self- and mutual aid, and building a supportive environment in communities.

In July, at a training based on the “Healing Mind and Body” program, which will take place in Kyiv, 150 participants will learn to take care of their mental health and conduct group sessions on developing psychophysical skills for self- and mutual support.
