The aim of the project
To define the main ways and mechanisms for involving representatives of key groups before seeking legal assistance in cases of violation of their rights in Ukraine
Goals and objectives
- Find out the general perception and willingness of people who inject drugs, ОАТ patients, men who have sex with men, transgender people, and sex workers to seek redress for violations of their rights.
- Identify existing and in-demand legal aid services in case of violation of their rights for PWID, OAT patients, MSM, TP, and SW.
- Identify the main barriers and factors that contribute to injecting drug users, OAT patients, MSM, TP, and SW for legal aid, in particular to various providers of such services.
- Identify existing sources and channels of informing PWID, ОАТ patients, MSM, TP, and SW about legal aid services and opportunities to obtain them.
- Identify legal aid providers who provide such services to the general population and assess their willingness to provide such services to the informing PWID, ОАТ patients, MSM, TP, and SW.
- Determine the perception and readiness of NGO representatives to cooperate with various providers of legal aid for PWID, ОАТ patients, MSM, TP, and SW.
- Define the existing mechanism of interaction between PWID, OAT patients, MSM, TP and SW, NGOs, and legal aid providers for violations of the rights of key groups.
- Provide recommendations to optimize the interaction between PWID, OAT patients, MSM, TP and SW, NGOs, and legal aid providers to improve access to advocacy services for key groups.
