-

The term of realization

01.10.2021 – 31.05.2024

Principal Investigator

Oleksandr Zeziulin

Funded by

National Institutes of Health (NIH)

The aim of the project

To tailor Peer Navigation for older people with HIV (OPWH) using ADAPT-ITT as an evidence-based adaptation strategy, create PROST (Peer-Run Optimal Strategy for Treatment), and pilot test it in Ukraine.

Goals and objectives

1. Using the ADAPT-ITT intervention adaptation model to create PROST, an adapted peer navigation strategy for OPWH to engage or reengage HIV care (including ART) for older persons in the Ukrainian context.
2. To conduct a pilot RCT of the adapted peer navigator intervention (PROST) vs. treatment as usual (TAU) to measure acceptability and feasibility.
3. Using data from Aim 2, to conduct dyadic analyses of peers and clients to better understand shared decision-making and linkage to care outcomes.
