font-weight: inherit; background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5); color: var(--ast-global-color-3);\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-27133 size-medium alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/eiphp.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/aids2022_0-300x156.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"156\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eiphp.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/aids2022_0-300x156.jpg 300w, https:\/\/eiphp.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/aids2022_0-600x312.jpg 600w, https:\/\/eiphp.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/aids2022_0.jpg 673w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/span>\r\n\r\n<p>On 29 July \u2013 2 August,\u00a0<strong><a class=\"resources__title\" href=\"https:\/\/aids2022.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"alternate noopener noreferrer\">the 24th International AIDS Conference \u201cAIDS 2022\u201d<\/a><\/strong>, organized by the International AIDS Society (IAS), took place in a hybrid format both virtually and in-person in Montreal, Canada.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>This year the aim of the Conference was to call on the world to come together to re-engage and follow the science. It was expected to define future research agendas, to shift latest evidence to action, and to chart a new consensus on overcoming the HIV epidemic as a threat to public health and individual well-being.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>The organizers paid special attention to the issues of adapting of innovations in science, policy and medical practice in the response to COVID-19, which were based on the experience of HIV response, and consolidating good practices for pandemic preparedness.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>EIPHP researchers, together with the partners, presented the results of the recent studies on various aspects of the HIV epidemic in Ukraine, conducted with the participation of specialists of the European Institute of Public Health Policy, at the virtual poster sessions of \u201cAIDS 2022\u201d:<\/p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li><strong><a class=\"resources__title\" href=\"https:\/\/programme.aids2022.org\/Abstract\/Abstract\/?abstractid=4459\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"alternate noopener noreferrer\">The role of carers in assisting OPWH with receiving HIV and non-HIV care during COVID-19 pandemic in Ukraine <\/a><\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/programme.aids2022.org\/Abstract\/Abstract\/?abstractid=4459\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"alternate noopener noreferrer\">(<\/a><strong>I.
